California Battery Disclosure Statement

In accordance with California Senate Bill 1215 (SB 1215) and guidance from CalRecycle, Rand McNally provides the following information regarding batteries used in its consumer electronics products.

 

Embedded Rechargeable Batteries

Rand McNally consumer electronics products contain embedded, rechargeable batteries. These batteries are not intended to be removed or replaced by the user.

 

Battery Chemistry

The embedded rechargeable batteries used in Rand McNally consumer electronics products utilize the following battery chemistry:

• Lithium-ion (Li-ion)

This disclosure applies to current Rand McNally consumer electronic devices with embedded rechargeable batteries.

 

Recycling and Compliance

Rand McNally participates in approved battery stewardship and recycling programs, including product registration and reporting requirements, as applicable. Consumers are encouraged to recycle electronic devices and batteries in accordance with local and state regulations.
